Low-Maintenance Beach Hair That Handles Humidity

Virginia Beach in late spring doesn’t exactly play nice with hair. Between the humidity and the rain and the general chaos of everyday life, the goal is simple: hair that looks good without trying too hard.
Here’s what’s been working for me:
I don’t brush my hair after the shower. Just leave it alone.
While it’s still wet, I apply mousse—generously. Roots to ends.
I let it air dry. No diffuser, no dryer.
Once it’s completely dry, I wrap a few face-framing pieces around a 1” curling iron. Nothing polished—just enough to add shape.
I finish with texture spray to add some grit and keep the waves from falling flat in the humidity
That’s it. It’s quick, low-effort, and works with the weather—not against it.
